Cookies and Advertising

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This Cookies and Advertising Policy explains how AVRIO ONE, Inc. ("AVRIO," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, software-development kits ("SDKs"), local storage, pixels, device identifiers, and similar technologies (collectively, "cookies and similar technologies") when you use the AVRIO website, mobile application, kiosks, ARIA features, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

This policy should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information and how to exercise privacy rights.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are. Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, SDKs, device identifiers, pixels, tags, and other technologies that store information on, or access information from, your browser, device, or application.

These technologies may be used by AVRIO or, where identified, our service providers. Their use may involve processing information such as:

  • Device, browser, operating-system, application, and network information
  • IP address
  • Session and authentication information
  • Settings and consent choices
  • Approximate location inferred from IP address or device settings
  • Ad-delivery, frequency, interaction, and reward-attribution information
  • Service-performance and aggregate usage information

We do not use cookies or similar technologies to create cross-site behavioral advertising profiles about you, unless we clearly disclose that practice in this policy and obtain any consent or offer any opt-out required by applicable law.

2. Our cookie categories. The table below describes the categories of cookies and similar technologies that AVRIO may use. The technologies AVRIO currently uses are listed in the Cookie Details table that follows.

CategoryPurposeLegal basis and choices
Strictly necessaryEnables core functions, such as account sign-in, authentication, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, session management, and remembering your privacy choicesThese technologies are necessary to provide the Service you request or to protect the Service. You cannot disable them through Cookie Settings, but you may be able to block them through your browser or device. Doing so may prevent the Services from working properly.
FunctionalRemembers choices and settings, such as accessibility or display preferences, language, an ARIA conversation preference stored on your device, and your 21+ confirmation where applicableWhere required by law, we use these technologies only with your consent. You can accept, reject, or later change your choice through Cookie Settings.
Analytics and service deliveryHelps us measure usage, understand performance, diagnose errors, secure the Services, and enable third-party components such as maps or fontsSome of these technologies may be strictly necessary; others may require consent depending on their purpose and the law that applies to you. We identify the applicable provider and purpose in Cookie Details.

We do not intentionally use advertising cookies or similar technologies to track your activity across unaffiliated websites or apps for behavioral advertising.

3. Your choices.

Cookie settings. Where available, you can manage non-essential cookies and similar technologies at any time through Cookie Settings. In locations where consent is required, we will ask for your consent before placing or accessing non-essential cookies and similar technologies. You may withdraw consent as easily as you gave it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before you withdrew it.

Browser and device settings. Most browsers and mobile operating systems allow you to manage cookies, local storage, device identifiers, app permissions, and similar technologies. You can also delete existing cookies or app data through your browser or device settings. If you clear browser or app data:

  • You may be signed out of AVRIO.
  • Your saved settings, privacy choices, and locally stored preferences may be reset.
  • You may need to confirm your age or make cookie choices again.
  • Rewards already credited to your AVRIO account are not lost solely because you clear browser or app data, subject to the applicable reward terms and account verification requirements.

Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies may cause some features of the Services not to function.

Global Privacy Control. If AVRIO is subject to laws requiring recognition of an opt-out preference signal, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), we process a user-enabled Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser or device from which the signal is sent, to the extent required by applicable law.

AVRIO does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. If that practice changes, we will update this policy and provide any required "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism.

4. Advertising on AVRIO.

Clearly identified paid ads. Ads shown in the AVRIO app, on AVRIO kiosks, or in designated sponsored placements below ARIA responses are paid advertising. We identify paid ads or sponsored content using labels such as "Sponsored" or "Paid for by." Advertising content may be subject to review for compliance with our advertising standards, but paid placement does not mean that AVRIO endorses an advertiser, its products, services, claims, or views.

Geographic ad delivery. Advertisers may select a geographic area in which an ad may be shown, such as a radius, city, county, state, or nationwide area. We may use approximate location information, such as location derived from an IP address, device settings, or the location of an AVRIO kiosk, to determine whether an ad is eligible to be shown in that area.

We do not provide advertisers with your name, email address, account credentials, or precise location merely because you are shown an ad. We do not disclose a list of identified viewers to advertisers for an ad campaign.

When AVRIO uses precise geolocation, we request any permission required by your device or applicable law and describe that use in our Privacy Policy and any applicable just-in-time notice.

Advertiser reporting. We may provide advertisers with aggregated or de-identified campaign reporting, such as:

  • Number of ad plays or impressions
  • Number of eligible rewards earned
  • Number of taps or visits to an advertiser's link
  • Aggregate campaign performance by geographic area or placement

We do not knowingly provide advertisers with reports that directly identify you. We require advertisers and service providers to use information they receive from us only for authorized purposes and as permitted by applicable law and contract.

AX8 rewards. If you are eligible, AVRIO may offer AX8 rewards for completing an eligible advertising interaction. Receiving an AX8 reward is compensation for the qualifying interaction under the applicable reward terms; it is not an endorsement by you of the advertiser, product, service, or message. Rewards may be subject to eligibility requirements, fraud-prevention controls, age restrictions, verification, campaign limits, and our applicable Rewards Terms.

Age-restricted ads. Ads marked "21+" are intended only for users who have confirmed that they are 21 years of age or older. AVRIO may use an age-confirmation record or preference to prevent a 21+ reward from being made available until that confirmation is provided. Age confirmation is not government-issued age verification unless we expressly state otherwise.

ARIA independence. ARIA's answers are not paid for, controlled by, or altered by advertisers. Sponsored material, if offered, appears only in a clearly labeled sponsor placement associated with an answer and not inside the answer itself.

5. Service providers and third parties. We may use service providers to help operate, secure, support, host, measure, and improve the Services. Depending on the feature you use, these providers may process information such as IP address, device and browser information, technical logs, or limited usage information.

For example, third-party map or font providers may receive your IP address when your device loads their content. We use service providers under contracts that restrict their use of personal information to providing services to AVRIO or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Our current service providers and any cookies or similar technologies they set are identified in Cookie Details. We will update that information when we materially change relevant providers or technologies.

AVRIO does not permit service providers to use personal information collected through the Services for their own independent cross-site behavioral advertising purposes.

6. Retention. We keep cookies and similar technologies only for as long as reasonably necessary for their stated purpose, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Session cookies generally expire when you close your browser or end the applicable session. Persistent cookies and similar technologies remain for the period stated in Cookie Details unless you delete them earlier through browser, device, or Cookie Settings.

We retain account-level records, including eligible reward records, in accordance with our Privacy Policy, legal obligations, fraud-prevention needs, dispute-resolution requirements, and applicable reward terms.

7. International users. Privacy and cookie laws vary by location. If you use the Services from a jurisdiction that requires consent before non-essential cookies or similar technologies are used, we will seek consent as required by applicable law. You may refuse or withdraw consent for non-essential technologies, although some optional features may then be unavailable or less personalized.

8. Changes to this policy. We may update this Cookies and Advertising Policy to reflect changes in our technology, data practices, Services, legal requirements, or advertising practices. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy and revise the "Last updated" date above. If a change requires renewed consent under applicable law, we will provide an appropriate notice or consent mechanism before using the affected non-essential technology.
